Arc is recruiting Catering Assistants and General Assistants to join our team at Glow Wild at Kew Wakehurst, Sussex this festive season.

Glow Wild transforms Wakehurst into a spectacular festive light trail, welcoming visitors throughout the Christmas period.

We’re looking for a reliable, consistent team to work regularly throughout the event.

This is a great opportunity if you’re looking for ongoing work and consistent hours across the Christmas season, rather than occasional one-off event shifts.

Strong availability throughout the season is essential.

Regular shifts and consistent hours

Glow Wild runs on selected evenings from 26 November 2026 to 2 January 2027, and we’re looking for people who can commit to working regularly throughout the event.

There will be opportunities for regular shifts across the season, making this ideal if you’re looking to build up consistent hours throughout December and over the festive period.

We want to build a core team who get to know the venue, operation and each other, so reliability and ongoing availability are really important for this role.

This role is based at Kew Wakehurst, Sussex. It is not at Kew Gardens in London.

Please check the location carefully before applying and make sure you can reliably travel to and from Kew Wakehurst for your shifts throughout the season.

As this is consistent, ongoing work, we need team members who can reliably get to site for all of their scheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends.

What you could be doing

Depending on your shift and area, your role could include:

Serving food and drinks to customers
Supporting food preparation and service
Taking customer orders and processing payments
Replenishing stock throughout service
Keeping catering and service areas clean and organised
Clearing tables and customer areas
Supporting the catering team during busy periods
Providing friendly and helpful customer service
General catering and event support as required

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for people who:

Can offer strong and consistent availability throughout the season
Can reliably travel to and from Kew Wakehurst, Sussex
Are committed to working regular shifts
Are reliable and punctual
Are friendly, approachable and confident with customers
Are comfortable working in a busy hospitality environment
Are proactive and willing to get stuck in
Work well as part of a team
Are comfortable being on their feet throughout a shift
Are prepared to work at a winter event
Have the right to work in the UK

Previous experience in catering, hospitality, events, retail or customer service is desirable, but reliability, availability and a great attitude are just as important.
