Arc is recruiting Catering Assistants and General Assistants to join our team at Christmas at Bute Park in Cardiff this festive season.

Set in the heart of Cardiff, Christmas at Bute Park is a spectacular festive light trail, welcoming visitors throughout November and December for an evening of lights, music, food and drink.

We’re looking for a reliable, consistent team to work regularly throughout the event.

This is a great opportunity if you’re looking for ongoing work and consistent hours throughout the Christmas season, rather than occasional one-off event shifts.

Strong availability throughout November and December is essential.

Regular shifts and consistent hours

Christmas at Bute Park runs from 19 November to 31 December 2026, giving you the opportunity to work regularly throughout the festive season.

We’re building a core team who can return throughout the event, get to know the venue and operation, and work consistently across the season.

There will be opportunities for multiple shifts each week, making this ideal if you’re looking to build up regular hours in the run-up to Christmas.

The more availability you can offer, the more opportunity there will be for consistent work.

This role is based at Bute Park in Cardiff, Wales.

As this is ongoing work throughout the Christmas season, you must be able to reliably travel to and from Bute Park for your scheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends.

We’re looking for people who can commit to working regularly throughout the season, so reliable access to Bute Park and strong availability are essential.

What you could be doing

Depending on your shift and area, your role could include:

Serving food and drinks to customers
Supporting food preparation and service
Taking customer orders and processing payments
Replenishing stock throughout service
Keeping catering and service areas clean and organised
Clearing tables and customer areas
Supporting the catering team during busy periods
Providing friendly and helpful customer service
General catering and event support as required

What we’re looking for

Can offer strong and consistent availability throughout the season
Can reliably travel to and from Bute Park, Cardiff
Are committed to working regular shifts
Are reliable and punctual
Are friendly, approachable and confident with customers
Are comfortable working in a busy hospitality environment
Are proactive and willing to get stuck in
Work well as part of a team
Are comfortable being on their feet throughout a shift
Are prepared to work at an outdoor winter event
Have the right to work in the UK

Previous experience in catering, hospitality, events, retail or customer service is desirable, but reliability, availability and a great attitude are just as important.
