Business Development Manager - Temporary Staffing Solutions

This is a key role to successfully formulate, lead and deliver the sales strategy for Arc. With hands on experience of selling temporary staffing services and/or managed serviced solutions, you will demonstrate the ability to gain new business, analyse trends and identify opportunities to maximise sales revenue and operating profit by finding the perfect solution for Arc’s clients. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate success with selling temporary staffing solutions in areas such as Stadia and Events, Festivals, Contract Catering Venues. You will develop long lasting, sustainable stakeholder relationships based on honesty and trust in line with Arc’s company values with the desire to effectively sell Arc’s vision in their drive to shape flexible work into a better place for all.

This is a permanent role, working full-time hours (5 days out of 7) – 40 hours per week. We are looking for someone who is based in the Northwest and can commute to our Manchester or Liverpool Office.

Main area of responsibility:


  • Work closely with the Head of Commercial and the Senior Leadership team to define and deliver Arc’s sales strategy across different sectors with the aim to secure new business opportunities and sales leads with prospective and existing clients.
  • Plan and deliver the daily, weekly and monthly sales activity across different sectors
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue for the company.
  • Continuously monitor and adapt Arc’s sales strategy in line with key market trends, keeping our company competitive and innovative.
  • Work with the Marketing team to ensure all communication to prospective clients is relevant and in line with company brand standards, ensuring company values and vision are embedded into all relevant content.
  • Effectively manage and deliver the end-to-end sales process, will full responsibility of negotiating and closing deals on all major accounts.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.



Person Specification: Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications relevant to the role:


  • Enjoys and actively uses all methods of communication with potential clients every day: phone calls, video meetings, face to face, LinkedIn
  • Proven track record of new sustainable, B2B partnership creation within temporary staffing
  • Experience writing and delivering a strategic sales plan
  • An understanding of marketing channels and the role they play in building a brand and driving revenue
  • Knowledge of using CRM sales tools and generating new business using Linkedln
  • Experience using a strong, repeatable, and reliable sales methodology to plan and develop sales
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure profitable contracts
  • Own values must be in line with that of Arc’s – the desire to create long last sustainable partnerships based on honesty and trust
