OVERVIEW

We are looking for experienced Sushi chefs to work on agency.


Wages - £16ph - £20ph + holiday pay (Depending on experience)


We are recruiting experienced Sushi Chefs to work with a variety of high-end clients in and around London. This includes premium restaurants, luxury hotels, corporate hospitality, private events, and large-scale venues.

You will work as part of a professional kitchen brigade, delivering exceptional sushi service to the highest standards. Whether operating a dedicated sushi section or supporting wider kitchen operations, you must be confident stepping into new environments and adapting quickly to different teams and service styles without issue.

We are looking for skilled, reliable Sushi Chefs who represent themselves professionally and consistently produce high-quality dishes.

Experience in high-volume service, luxury hospitality, or event catering is highly desirable. However, if you have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in fast-paced professional kitchens with strong sushi expertise, we would love to hear from you.

You’ll also have the flexibility to work across various venues and events, choosing shifts that suit your schedule. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your experience, work alongside industry leaders, and enhance your culinary career.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Preparing sushi and related Japanese dishes to precise specification
  • Ensuring exceptional presentation and consistency
  • Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Managing mise en place and section organisation
  • Supporting menu development where required
  • Stock control, waste management and cost awareness
  • Liaising with Front of House staff and management
  • Adhering to Health & Safety at Work, COSHH, Food Hygiene, and all relevant legislation

What you need?

  • Food Safety Level 2 certificate - From last 3 years
  • Food Allergen certificate - From last 3 years
  • Health & Safety Level 2 - From last 3 years
  • You will have an NVQ Level 2/3 Professional Cookery or relevant experience in the role.
  • Good Knowledge of food and passion for delivering high quality, affordable, on-the-go and sit-down meals.
  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in professional kitchens
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • An eagerness to work hard & enthusiasm for your role
