Arc is recruiting Catering Assistants and General Assistants to join the team at Northern Lights Leicester, a brand new winter light trail taking over Abbey Park this festive season.

This is a great opportunity if you’re looking for regular, ongoing work and consistent hours throughout November and December, rather than occasional one-off event shifts.

We’re building a core team who can work regularly throughout the event, so strong availability across the season is essential.

Regular shifts and consistent hours

This isn’t just one or two event shifts.

Northern Lights Leicester runs from 18th November to 31st December, and we’re looking for a consistent team who can return regularly throughout the season.

There will be opportunities for multiple shifts each week, making this ideal for anyone looking to build up consistent hours in the run-up to Christmas.

The more availability you can offer throughout the event, the more opportunity there will be for regular work.

The event is based at Abbey Park, Leicester.

Before applying, please make sure you can reliably travel to and from Abbey Park for your shifts throughout the season.

This is ongoing work, so we need a team who can consistently get to site for their scheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Please consider your journey, transport options and how you will get home after your shift before applying.

If you cannot reliably travel to Abbey Park throughout November and December, this role may not be suitable for you.

What you could be doing

Depending on your shift and area, your role could include:

Serving food and drinks to customers
Supporting food preparation and service
Taking customer orders and processing payments
Replenishing stock throughout service
Keeping catering and service areas clean and organised
Clearing tables and customer areas
Supporting the catering team during busy periods
Providing friendly and helpful customer service
General catering and event support as required

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for people who:

Can offer strong and consistent availability throughout the season
Can reliably travel to and from Abbey Park, Leicester
Are reliable and committed to working regular shifts
Are friendly, approachable and confident with customers
Are comfortable working in a busy hospitality environment
Are proactive and willing to get stuck in
Work well as part of a team
Are comfortable being on their feet throughout a shift
Are prepared to work at an outdoor winter event
Have the right to work in the UK

Previous experience in catering, hospitality, events, retail or customer service is desirable, but reliability, availability and a great attitude are just as important.
